Fang Wanjie risks everything to raise money for his girlfriend's medical expenses by entering a place called “the Gate”. However, he discovers that the high pay was actually a trap. He is then manipulated, humiliated and beaten by his companions, but he persists despite everything. He is then chased and attacked by thousands of monsters. On the verge of death, he awakens an innate talent that allows him to survive in the most perilous situations. As he contemplates leaving “the Gate” to seek revenge, he realizes that the key to opening the gate has been destroyed, leaving him trapped inside, surrounded by monsters. He is determined to survive, fight and become stronger, even if he has to become an undead creature, in order to make those who betrayed him pay.
