On her 20th birthday, the protagonist’s husband cruelly destroys her virgin pride and her life (symbolized by the “証” of maidenhood), seemingly killing her spirit. She expects to die—but wakes up to find herself reborn just before her wedding. Now, seeing her childhood friend, the Grand Duke, acting increasingly doting on her, she resolves to change her fate. From rock-bottom despair to blissful heights, she seeks redemption, love, and to avoid the bad ending she was once doomed to suffer.
