Upon awakening, Ji Que found himself in a bizarre and supernatural world where immortal mountains had collapsed, temples lay in ruins, evil entities wore human disguises, and wild deities feasted on marrow. At the same time, he gained the ability to accumulate comprehension like currency—the more comprehension he saved up, the more miraculous his insights became. Ji Que was also forced into increasingly strange and fantastical events: before him, a White Bone Bodhisattva spewed lotus flowers to “purify” all things, while behind him, the Old Lord refined hearts and concocted elixirs. Yet beneath the rampant chaos of demons and monsters lurked something even more terrifying—the human heart itself.
